I Work.

Hey!
I just got home from work! Yes, a 15 year old girl has a job at her dad's shop hahaha. But it's really fun working cause it's another way I can meet new friends. ☺

So maybe this blog will be about my job☺.

So my dad owns a small food shop and we sell drinks, siomai w/ rice, steamed and toasted siopao.
We started off selling toasted siopao at our house and then we finally got a small place for us to sell more foods.
Toasted siopao actually originated at Bicol, Philippines.
Isn't that cool? A lot of people in the areas Metro Manila and Manila have only tasted steamed siopao. The difference with steamed and toasted siopao is that steamed siopao looks like this:

The steamed siopao comes with special siopao sause. 

And the toasted siopao looks like this: 

It already has all the flavors packed in that small bread so there is no need for siopao sause. ☺

It's funny because our store still has no name! We've started the store maybe by August and we still have no name for it. 

Sometimes people ask if it's a lottery store because there is a sign that says "LOTTERY TICKETS HERE" above our store. 

The store is located on the intersection so we get the most views. 

We haven't made much sales in a while because of Christmas break so we pray we will make more sales while school has started. ☺ 

Lol I've been talking to much about the store. Lets talk about how I work. My classes are only 8am-11:30am so I get out really early and it gives me much time to help out my dad. My position is the clerk and sometimes the food prep. I get paid every Sunday (but I'm behind on my paychecks hahaha ). It's not rare in the Philippines for very young kids to work because younger kids like at the age of 6+ start working to help their parents after school. Some kids cut the grass for neighbors, some help out at their shop, and some sell bottles. 

As a 15 year old girl who is already working will help me be more responsible and it will give me patience. It's fun working but it also becomes boring when it's not busy so sometimes on the non-busy hours which is like 10am-3pm I rest and do the stuff I need to do. 

We should all know that no matter how young you are we should all work even if it's house chores because doing extra work will also give you more money. And save your money for the things that are really necessary in your life.
